Most of our HERBI surveys of reservoirs are conducted with a 5hp Tohatsu outboard motor with two shallow drive settings and an external fuel tank. This is adequate for towing a 40m long submarine and 10kg dragging weight along the bde of 8m deep reservoirs. It is also reasonably easy to lift on and off the boat.
