ADCP – Acoustic Doppler Current Profiling

Bentley-YSI market the Sontek ADCP suite of instruments for current profiling in channels. This would be useful as part of HERBI in some circumstances. The Sontek-RS5 or Sontek-M9 can both be integrated into the float in the centre of the propulsion unit that attaches to HERBI.

As of January 2025, due to lack of opportunity this idea has not been implemented yet.
