HERBI method of passing through canal regulators

When two persons tow HERBI-USV down irrigation channels they typically encounter numerous regulators. Because HERBI-USV is fully enclosed and compact it is simply passed through the regulators, over flume gates and pulling ropes are recovered downstream of the regulator using rope management telescopic poles they carry (also used to pass ropes around trees). This method removes need to pull the long streamers from the water such that data can continue to be acquired almost right through the regulators rather than leaving a gap in the dataset as long as the streamer.
