Nowadays there are many LiFePO4 batteries fully incorporating BMS within lightweight plastic cases. In the past we had to make our own enclosures such as the one shown which is 100A.hr 12.8V with a grey Anderson connector – split so one of a pair can go to a charger and the other to the transmitter. An isolation switch and voltage meter also are present. As the transmitter uses 24V, two of these are needed or alternatively one 25.6V battery. The transmitter has various input power connectors to make use of batteries of opportunity easy at remote sites.
