Receiver pre-amp standalone

Many of our receiver loops are floppy and require the preamp to be stand-alone – separated some small distance from the loop side. A protected connector is on the top with two LEDs to show if power is getting through. As of January 2025 we are typically connecting multiturn loops with various plastic connectors to these boxes and a final full design is still pending. 4mm sockets can optionally allow for single turn loops to be connected for diagnosis.

We have been developing a distribution board that also goes in here with switched polarity, additional damping switched, and switches to connect different numbers of turns in series. Options are 1, 4, 7, 14, and 20 turns standard. Although protected inside the box to keep the system simple for beginners, the switches can be very useful for both diagnosis and optimization of systems.
