We do not own a TerraTEM24 but, in many cases, it is likely to be the most appropriate instrument for new purchasers of Wallaby systems and some Wallaroo systems IF it is configured with new features designed and tested within the AgTEM electronics. The AgTEM electronics have some advantage that is not transferable to the TerraTEM24 including backpackability for use while walking the Transmitter loop on shoulders and using the concentric receiver loop simultaneously. Further, the AgTEM transmitter is fully set up for dual output (but lacking necessary firmware as of January 2025). The AgTEM receiver is compact and lightweight and if ever equipped with GPS synchronization, will make a great continuous acquisition option for fixed loop surveys using our 6 square metre collapsible loop cantilevered over shoulders with smaller X and Y component loops. AgTEM electronics also allows for dashboard touchscreen mounting while the TerraTEM24 is too heavy for vehicle dashboards. TerraTEM24 is a single box solution while AgTEM electronics is a separate transmitter and receiver of minimal metal content and weight. A single box solution has many simplicity benefits and, provided a passenger seat can be taken up in the towing vehicle, can work well with Wallaby, and even partly with some Wallaroo configurations.  Ensure you discuss with us your ambitions when considering a purchase so we can go through the complex option pros and cons. As of January 2025, Option availability is tied up with legal limitations related to potential for airborne and semi-airborne utilization.
