A feature of Wallaby and Wallaroo booms is their ends with self-opening snap-on beaks that accept up to 8mm wide cable ties as weak links designed for quick and easy replacement if the transmitter loop gets caught on unrelenting tree branches, gate posts or other obstacles. They also facilitate quick removal of the transmitter loop. There are two parts – the beak and an adaptor for securing the beak to different diameter pole ends.
