If Wallaby is to be used with a vehicle exceeding 1.2 tonnes and up to 4.5 tonnes in weight, then metal content causes inductive coupling that must be minimized by use of a long Wallaby drawbar that separates the towing vehicle from the Wallaby core by 4.5m. With the drawbar attached, specialized long float trailers are needed for carriage, but the highway vehicle can then be used for both towing to site and towing around the site. Towing with vehicles exceeding 3 tonnes in weight and 3000cc engine capacity is not recommended due to lack of driver sensitivity to obstacle impacts.
