Wallaby Pre-amp single channel

The single channel pre-amp is only available with electronics sold by Monex (TerraTEM, or AgTEM which uses Monex circuits). Wallaby systems sold for use with alternative electronics will require preamps sold by those suppliers.

The Monex pre-amp includes a damping resistor and low pass filter. Gain is typically set at 10x or 20x and the filter to 60KHz. Damping of 330 ohms is commonly affixed.

Power is supplied to the preamp via wires with LEDs warning of wire breaks. A specialized case with connector is typically supplied with a base with connectors suited to whatever loop type is connected.

With impedance optimization for the receiver, data passing from the pre-amp will arrive at the receiver with greatly reduced systematic and random noise compared to signal. It is thus superior to in-receiver amplification.
