Wallaroo 3-person shoulder supported large loop package

This package is like the Wallaroo 3-person shoulder supported small loop package except that the full size Wallaroo transmitter loop is carried by two persons and the transmitter and receiver are carried on the support structure – the 1st receiver loop being centered in the transmitter loop. A third person independently carries a 2nd 6m2 receiver loop a fixed distance away from the transmitter loop. The 1st  receiver loop that exists within the large transmitter loop but is affected by high primary field pickup. For near surface conductive feature detection, the independent receiver loop and 3rd person are not needed.

Mutual induction between the receiver and transmitter metal cooling parts and the transmitter loop and the concentric 1st receiver loop are challenging processing problems – the AgTEM electronics has been designed and mounted so that this challenge is manageable but TerraTEM or TerraTEM24 electronics cannot be applied this way due to large metal cases, integrated control screen and no backpackability. Data collected by the 2nd receiver loop is not so severely affected by in-transmittter loop metal electronics parts.

In this configuration the battery is typically carried suspended from the large loop structure center in order to allow it to be balanced while keeping booms higher off the ground.

If 2 more persons are available, then it makes sense for them to carry the receiver and transmitter on the provided backpacks midway between the transmitter and 2nd receiver loops.

A second or third receiver loop can be towed behind the transmitter loop on a separate, lightweight, skid steer trailer.
