The Wallaroo cantilevered tractor driver cradle allows for most effective operation of Wallaroo on large jobs where setup and mobilization cost are of lesser interest to depth of investigation and productivity.

Sensors all around the cradle detect when the operator’s body presses against it and these control steering and braking. Fine steering control is via thumb movements. A deadman switch does not permit movement once the left hand is released and an emergency stop also is provided. The Wallaroo AgTEM electronics computer touchscreen can be fixed via ram mount in front of the operator. Shoulder straps go over the operator’s shoulders to place tractor pitch torque loads onto the operator as gently as is feasible. A GNSS antenna is raised to clear the operator’s head, and the receiver loop is supported in front of the operator where they can stabilize it and keep it away from the metal tractor. The receiver is strapped to the rear of the cradle or onto the tractor itself and if cantilevering the full weight of the 29 square metre transmitter loop, then batteries are placed just behind this cradle too.
