A winch is fitted to the front of the Argo and is suitable for lifting and lowering the Argo almost vertically up and down cliffs and steep slopes. Operating from beside the Argo, it is much safer than taking risks on steep slopes even where the winch is not needed – we adopt this as a safety measure very frequently. With three axles the Argo can pivot or even spin over the middle axle making it as unsafe as a very short wheelbase vehicle on steep slopes.
